NK Community Healthcare Limited is a CQC-registered domiciliary home-care provider based on Hyde Park Road in Derby. We support families across Derby and the surrounding Derbyshire villages with personal care, companionship, meals, light housekeeping and planned respite — delivered by a small local team who know your area.
We work with local authorities as a preferred home-care provider, and our team is experienced in delivering complex, cost-effective care packages — but at heart we are a community service. The same carers visit the same households, week in, week out. That continuity is the thing families tell us makes the most difference.
How we approach care
Most of the people we visit didn't plan to be receiving care. Something changed — a fall, a hospital discharge, a diagnosis, the slow gradient of getting older — and the routines that worked yesterday don't quite work today. Our job is to fit around the day you're actually having, not the day a care plan says you should be having.
That means we ask you what matters: when you like to get up, what you want for breakfast, whether the radio goes on, which mug is yours. The clinical bits — the medication, the moving and handling, the safeguarding — we take as a given. The rest is what makes the visit feel like help rather than an intrusion.
We're a small enough team that you'll get to know us by name, and we won't take on more visits than we can do well. If we don't have the capacity, we'll say so — and where we can, we'll point you towards another local provider we trust.
Our standards

Enhanced DBS
Every carer holds a current enhanced DBS check before a first shift. We pay for it; the carer never has to.
Verified references
Two references — one professional, one personal — confirmed by phone, not just by email.
Right-to-work checks
All documentation verified to UK statutory standards, with copies kept on file and re-checks on expiry.
Mandatory training
Manual handling, safeguarding, infection control, medication awareness, basic life support and food hygiene all completed before a first shift.
Specialist top-ups
Dementia awareness and the Oliver McGowan training in learning disability and autism for staff who work in those settings.
Named office contact
Every client and family has a named co-ordinator in our office. The person who books a visit is also the person you ring if something on the visit isn't right.
Regulation
Registered with, and inspected by, the Care Quality Commission.
